He’s a force to be reckoned with! With a long list of impressive accomplishments, including 7 national podium finishes, 4 international podium finishes, and 2 Asian bronze medal team finishes, it’s clear that Vijay is one of the best in the business.
But that’s not all – Vijay has also been an integral part of the paragliding community, serving in various roles such as a paragliding meet director, event organiser, chief judge, event judge, and team leader. He’s truly dedicated to this sport, and it shows in everything he does. What’s more, Vijay has made history with his incredible feats. In 2000, he completed the first-ever record cross-country distance in India, flying from Pune to Baramati – a distance of 64 km. And in 2009, he flew the first 100+ km FAI triangle in India, earning recognition from the Limca Book of Records.

It’s no wonder that Vijay is the only Indian pilot who has represented India in 8 FAI CAT 1 Championships .
Now he’s set to qualify for his 9th in France this year! We’re honoured to support such an accomplished and talented athlete, and we can’t wait to see what he’ll achieve next! Cheers to Soni, our legendary eagle!
